New tire suggestions for 06 rancher 2x4 manual
#1
I am wanting a more aggressive tread for my rancher than what came from the factory (goodyear CL's) I am looking at mudrunners, mud bugs, and mud lite's.
Whats the largest sizes I can get away with on the front and more importantly the back?
front stoack is 24-8-12 and back is 25-10-11.
Can I put 25's on the front without changing anything? What will this effect?
How about the back, where the traction matters most in 2wd? ANy input is APPRECIATED

Best thing you could do is replace those heavy steel stock rims at the same time! That will lighten you up some, and also open up a whole world of additional tire choices.

Check out ITP 12X7" C-Series. They have a greater offset than stock, and that widens the quad a little making it more stable in turns and off-cambers! I run 25" Holeshot ATR radial tires, and it is a whole different (better handling) machine!
Don't get to carried away with hugh heavy tires though. The little Rancher isn't exactly a powerhouse, and the 2wd rear end is geared higher than the 4wd.

I initially put 26" ITP 589's on mine, but it was too much tire (didn't need a lift, but they did rub the fender just a bit). I went down to 25" Bearclaws and they work much better.

This is the best place that I have found on the net. The even beat Rocky Mountain which is also pretty good.
