I have a 2005 Rancher AT, Does anybody know if the oil temperature sensor controls when the fan comes on? My fan is not working that is the reason I ask that question. Also when I turn the switch on the oil temperatue light is supposed to come on for a second or two then go off, this light is not working on my atv, anybody have a guess what the problem could be. I have checked the fuses that are located under the seat, they are all good.

Thanks
Dave

Sounds like the light is burned out. Check to see if the sensor is plugged in.

Before I piped and jetted mine the fan never ran, now it runs all the time. Before I could run up some long nasty hills at full throtle and it still wouldn't kick the fan on. Sounds like you may not have a problem at all but if you think you do I would get the manual and go through the trouble shooting procedures. A manual is worth it's wait in gold I can't really tell you more than that becuase I have never had an issue with the fan.
