Default Help servicing an '02 500 Rubicon

Lost the stupid manual and I distinctly remember there being something about two plugs that needed to be removed for this. Generally I take it to the shop, but it is a long ways away, so I want to do it myself. Is there an online manual anywhere or something?

Are you taking about the drain plugs for the oil? If so yes there is two drain plugs. You also have to take the skid plate off to get to the oil filter. Hope I helped.

I see one plug through a hole in the skid plate but not the other. Is the other one hidden behind it?

kvrdave, go to servicehonda.com and download the parts finder .pdf. Under Parts Group - Engine Section, look at the Oil Tank drawing. Bolt # 15 is the drain bolt. Then, under Front Crankcase Cover drawing, # 12 is the Oil Filter and Bolt. Also, it is highly recommended to replace the aluminum washer when changing the oil.

Good Luck
