Producing no spark. What do I check first? Someone said that the pulse generator could be ohmed to see if it is good/ What Ohm value would I need to look for....Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Tried another spark generator and electronic ignition module/box and still have no spark, Now I guess I am down to thinking it is the magneto. Any suggestions or do you agree or disagree? Thanks

Mine was actually two things. The main spark producing coil under the flywheel(the black one not the copper one) had a broken wire. I replaced that and still no spark so I replaced the pulse generator(pickup) under the cover where the points would normally be...and it went to work. I was told that the black coil under the flywheel should OHM out at about 245 OHMS. Check by putting one tester lead to the red wire and one test lead to ground. Clymers says that the pulse generator OHM value for a 200E is not applicable. Hope some of this helps a little.

I don't think it would crank and run if the kill switch is bad. What about your battery? Is the battery fully charged. If weak, trying to start takes most of the power and leaves not enough for the rest of the circuit.
