Rincon EFI & exhaust modifications

Will the EFI on a 2007 Rincon automatically adjust the air / fuel mixture if a different exhaust pipe or different exhaust tip is installed? If the EFI does automatically adjust for exhaust modifications, then what is the purpose of the programmer that HMF sells?

It will only adjust it slightly within its programed perameters. Thats why you have the programmer so you can program it your self with the mods you add.I assume you are a member of rinconriders because of the guru bumper? I would go there to get info. Not alot of info on the rinny here. Most people that dont have rincons here knock them anyways.

It will not compensate for an aftermarket pipe. You will have to have a controller of some type for the EFI.
I bought the HMF pipe and Optimizer for my 06. It does work and there were power gains, but I think I am too old. The exhaust was too loud for me. I pulled it back off and put my stocker back on. I have the pipe and Optimizer for sale right now. The Optimizer is a generation 3 model. If you look on e-bay you will see a Dobeck unit which is a generation 2 unit with an HMF pipe for about $450.
I used mine for one weekend trip and took it back off. I will make you a good deal if you want it.

Foremandan is right you will need the controller for any aftermarket pipe. But they are very simple to tune in. I ride with Dan and that HMF is like brand new. I'm not sure what he wants for it, but it should be a great deal.
Also he is very old. But that was the loudest pipe I've heard on a Rincon. Even with him over a 100 feet behind me at over 50mph, he was drowning out my Rincon with a big gun pipe. Its unreal how loud that thing is.

The controller doesn't affect the computer. Its a piggyback system that only changes the fuel curve, pulses and injectors time( how long the injector stays open) If you unplug the controller it will go back to factory settings. You can not hurt the computer. Also with the pipe on a Rincon it makes a very noticeable difference. If you add larger tires, you will want a pipe to bring back the lost power.
