The CRF450R motocross dirt bike, while it has a similar engine, does not have a frame that is well suited to cross country.
Doesn't everybody run GPS trackers??? So who would be dumb enough to cut the course????
TIC-It does have one of those outdated solid axles. And, a 250 pound weight advantage over the Renegade!

The CRF450X took the overall win as well.
Not bad for an unreliable, ticking time bomb, right Recon? Lol.

They all have GPS trackers but from my understanding it's only checked if a protest is filed. With Honda being one of the biggest supporter of and sponsoring and pitting for numerous competitors a protest against them would be ignored. Believe me, they cut 3-4 miles off the course outside of San Felipe. They took a power line road passing cars and motor homes all the way. I know it doesn't sound like much but cheating is cheating and who knows how much time it gained them?????

The GPS data is all there........hell you can even watch it LIVE! If you are all so sure there was course cutting, it shouldn't be difficult to verify.........

Another 450R finshed 2nd. Looks like the Renegade managed a 3rd place, or 2nd type of quad. Not quite the pace of the Rincon in 02, but maybe they took a shortcut with the Rincon in 02 as well. I did read the Renegade had a complete aftermarket suspension and expected it to do much better. Not so great for the Outty either.
