So, even if the 2nd place quad is really the 1st place quad, a Honda 450R still finished first. My interest in these races is simply to see how the different machines hold up, no matter what place they finish in. In fact, the ones that DNF can tell you more than the ones that finish..........

I am particularly interested in the Can-Am, because I think they got the design on this thing all wrong, so I was keenly waiting to see how it did. And, I am interested in the 450R, because I ride one, in the desert.

 

Nothing against the 450r, but the Baja 500/1000 is a total joke anymore with very few participants. Did'nt Honda win with a Rincon several years back? Lets take a realistic look before pounding on our Honda shirt.

Our buddy Recon can no-doubt will the Hondas across the finish line first. All you get is a wink behind those rose colored shades.

 

I'm not sure if you guys caught this in my first post but I was commenting on ATVtech's post about the overall winner being a 450. That would be the 1X entry which is a bike, not the quad.

The Renegade finished third and the Outlander finished 31'st after an accident with another vehicle.....You think everyone has the wrong design. Honda is well organized and wins this event every year it seems, this is important to them and for good reason. For a new machine to finish right behind the tried and true Honda's is nothing to sneeze at, you may not like the design but it seemed to hold up and perform pretty well.... Mike Penland also had his chase vehicle and an additional quad stolen during this race, not sure how much of a factor that also may have played in additon to his accident....

 

Get real! You know darn well Can-Am would have rubbed everyone's nose in it endlessly if they had won this thing. We would have seen Renegade adds up the ying yang for the next year boasting about the win. Nice to see them have to eat the dust of two Hondas!

And you don't think they prepared as well as Honda did for this, with the reputation of their brand new PIG on the line????
