2006 rubicon spitting oil from carb
friend of mine has a 06 rub 500, 4000 miles on it. over the weekend he started to burn oil (pretty smokey). he checked his air box and found it to have alot of oil in it. what do you guys think is the problem, broken ring???
i've seen bikes do that after they take on water, which pushes the oil up but there was no water involved.
its 7 months old and the dealer gave him an extra 6 months warrnty, he is taking it to the shop tomorrow.
thanks

yes he did get it back, honda told him the bike was warmed up too fast, buddies son jumped on the bike (-17C) the choke wasn,t working good so he revved it up to warm it up. honda said this will cause oil to be sucke up because the rings were not expanded.
i'm no mechanic but that sounds like BS

So when it is -17 and you are going 30 mph on your quad, the wind chill factor is..........
Just for the record, what weight, brand, and type of oil is he running????? Honda recommends 5W30 for extremely cold weather, and it would be a huge advantage to be running a synthetic!
