Default tire size 400ex

What tire size is stock for a 400ex? I want to stick with the 20's (I'm getting holeshots) but dont know what the other numbers mean.

20 x 11-9

20 x 11-10

Which one should I get? Will it matter what I order?

Here's an example:

20= outer diameter
11= width of tread pattern
9= rim diameter

The first # (20, in this example) can be any size you see fit. 20" is a good all-around track/woods size. It's the outer diameter of the tire.

The second # (11, in the example) is the width of the tread pattern, and only matters slightly. A 20x11-9 tire will fit on a 10" wide rim.

The last # (the number you question) is crucial. The 20X11-10 tire WILL NOT fit on stock 400ex rear rims. Trust me. I own one. It defines the bead diameter (the diameter of the inside of the tire) which, on a 400ex rear rim is NINE INCHES.

The verdict?: You need the 20x11-9 tire-- if you run the stock rear rims.

If you are looking for a good place to get an e-brake for a 400ex go to www.servicehonda.com, they have reasonable prices and lots of oem honda parts. I also have a 400ex and I have removed my e-brake altogether
and put a block off plate in its place. I had to replace my e-brake twice because moisture kept getting into it and locking it up. My advice is to block it off. I keep a large squeeze clamp under my 400ex and I clamp the front brake handle to my grip and it works just fine.

What do you guys think of those tires? They are cheaper than other tires and I'm assuming it is because they are colourful and nobody wants them. I figure I would go with red to match my 400ex.

Notice that it says Holeshot TYPE......these are NOT genuine ITP Holeshots! These are some cheapie KNOCKOFF.............

I wouldn't do it! You have no idea what you will be getting. You would probably be best off with the Holeshot H-D's, seeing you are an eastern trail rider. Spend the money and get the genuine article! 22X7-10 front and 20X11-9 rear

I looked at the tire size that I have on now and they are 20 x 11 x 10 Kendas.
I think I will get some Holeshot XCR (Cross country and trail)

I live in Canada and there is a bit of snow outside right now. I'd like to also climb hills in pits and stuff. I figure any tire will do that but some better than others. What is the cheapest place to order from? Is that RonniesMailOrder.com place a good place to buy from?
