help neutral light

Default help neutral light

1998, honda, 300, 2 x 4
neutral light stays on regardless of what gear its in. will turn off with key switch, any ideas where to look for the problem, i have unpluged the wire from the sensor and still on.

Sounds like the wire is grounding out somewhere on the frame causing the light to stay on. Inspect the harness for any bare wires. Good luck.

hey thanks i'll check it this week end, and while i have u, any chance you would know this, i have a oil leak where the shifter shaft goes into the side of the engine, and i cant find the part number for this seal. can u help. new a this..
