WTF!! This is the same problem I had with my Raptor. Dont tell me Honda put a One way in this motor did they? It just spins and if I nudge the bike in gear back and forth then it may grab. Sounds like the same problem when my one way went out on my Raptor.

Anyone have any clues to what this is??

Thanks in advance!!

Is it an 2006? There is a certian procedure to starting these. You give it no gas what so ever or risk #%*@ the started. Go over to 450r headquarters and do a search for more info about this issue. I have had no problems starting mine or with the starter. Honda even sent out a letter detailing starting procedure

This is the same starting procedure I had to do with my Raptor so as I see it, this has the same junk one way as the raptor does. I dont know if L&A Designs has one for the Honda because theirs is awesome and had no trouble with it after it was replaced.

My question is, is this the same setup as the Raptor One way? Also, has anyone replaced one and if they have, can you give me any tips before I tear this down?

Thanks

its a recall on some of the 06 450er the starter clutchs tolerances are to close and freez up, it is a recall and is at no all coming outta your pocket call you local honda dealer and have then run your vin . i had mine done about 5 months ago. i also had my thumb throttle fixed there is another recall on that, and another one on the Front A Arm Bushings, just call the dealer and have them run you vin and it will get fixed. we will just have to wait and see if there are any more recalls.

I have put my vin number in on Hondas atv website and for the 2006 450er there is no recalls at all listed there. Do you know where I can go to read up on these recalls you have mentioned before I call the dealer? I dont know why they didnt mention to me any recalls when I was on the phone with them telling them about my problem.
