Disapointment

Well guys im disapointed in my recon for snow use. Just cant go no were. JUNK I think that honda should do the following to it :
1. More Ground Clearance
2. Needs Heavier duty clutch mine slips wayyyyy to much (probably should stop hot roddin it lol)
3. Needs to be faster in reverse like alot faster so the tires can spin faster nad get of snow and mud easier
4. Needs to have actualy screws or somethin instead of them *** pop thingys that are plastic and like break and stuff
5. Metal floorboards instead of *** plastic pieces of crap that im afraid are gonna break when someone heavy steps on them
6 some more heavier constructed racks instead of just bars needs like little suport bars between
7. a standard tow hitch instead of a 100$ POS option
thats about it .... if you all can come up with more write it down ..... oh a 4 wheel drive option would be nice for 250 class compittion since the polaris and yamaha and suzuki are taking over that class

I wasnt talking about plowing snow with it. I was just talking about casual riding. I cant go no were in the snow i always just get burried. I have to ride the roads to go anyway and them are slippery! They do sell plow kits nad plows at my honda dealer up here. Anybody have a plow on a Recon ?? DOes it do ok ? thanks

If wanting to bust through snow then 4x4 is the way to go. A 2wd should stay on a "packed" trail.
If you are disappointed with the Recon then trade it in on something else. Remember this is an entry level quad, it doesn't have all the bells & whistles off the bigger more expensive ATV's. There were some rumors of a 4x4 Recon at one time.

Greetings,
You can't blame the horse for not being a cow.
The Recon gives an awful lot for very little money. And I find the stock tires on it to be far better than on a lot of bigger quads (e.g. 450ES). But its weight and 2-wheel drive are just not going to do that well in the snow.
If you want all of that additional stuff, its readily available -- you just have to pay for it. Lots of other ATVs meet your criteria but for about a thousand dollars more. Overall, you'll find few people who complain about a Recon.
