I got a rancher 420 4x4 ES a while back and love it. Very reliable and easy to use, but the tires are a little small to me. Has anyone put aftermarket tires on if so what size and brand and how does your rancher react. Reconranger has already replied and did not like how his acted with 25" holeshot atr's. I dont want 28" mudzillas, but atleast 25" just to get it up to par with the other mid sized atvs. Maybe 26" Mud lites if they will fit, are good tires that dont slow it down too much, and dont cause any problems.
Thanks

Rim choice is another thing you will have to consider besides just tires. I think the problems I experienced (front steering REALLY fighting me in 4wd), were as likely to have been caused by the very large offset of the rims, as much as the tires. The reason I originally chose that rim/tire combination was to widen the quad several inches, to make it more stable. But, when you mess with front end geometry, anything can happen!

I dont want too much offset just enough to get them to clear. I want a great comprimise between mud and trail riding. I like trail riding the best, but the park I go to is very muddy and rutted out. As i found out this weekend the 25" tires on my buddy's big bear mad a differnce on the rutted trails. Mine is a better built, better ridding, and more stable, but it lacks the ground clearance.
