Default 400 EX wheel studs

Does anyone know where I can get wheel studs for an 02 400EX? Honda doesn't sell them without the hub. Thanks

They are m10 x 1.25 and I think most napa stores have them, bring one in with you, the head, where it presses into the hub, is the important thing to match up.
Ive seen them on ebay, or you can order them directly from here
http://www.hardkorengineering.com/pr...art=%5Bcart%5D
They are about 2 bucks each, item 99720

You cannot get them for a 400ex, but you can for a 250r. They are the same thing.

Good to know. I went to Napa today and they had one that was too short and the head was too small, I really didn't want to use a nut and a bolt!

From what I have seen all the Honda sport quad are the same, for studs. If they can't get one for ---- , drop another model. The studs are in the bin by their knee, the computer just needs to tell them which drawer to open.

I figured I would revive this thread to help someone else. My local Honda dealer was no help. I did find one that wanted $5 for stud and $3.87 for nuts. I couldn't sleep well knowing I could buy a new hub for $48 from the dealer. Anyway, the hardkor engineering tip paid off. I got the studs from them for $2.11 each but the nuts they sent weren't the correct ones. The ones for a 400ex need to be tapered. Hardkor does not sell them. However, Rockymountain ATV does for 99 cents each. They are a 10 X 1.25 mm.

One last thing, NAPA sells the stud but it is too short and they have acorn nuts (closed end) that will fit but they are $5.87 EACH....crazy. Once again I couldn't sleep well knowing that I paid that much for 4 lug nuts. Thanks for the help guys..
