1997 Honda 300ex, the plastic is alittle rough but it has nerf bars, front bumper, shedder tires front and rear 50-70% tread, and an fmf pipe.

I Never owned 1, Im thinking about buying it. I dont know much about them so anything you can tell me would be appreciated.

Like Known problems?, Parts? Performance?, Durability?, A good price? Anything at all? Thanks

Great solid little machines. Classic Honda durability. Handle great. Suspension is descent. It's only a 300, but it had good performance. Wish I had kept mine!

Great quad, if it doesn't smoke and it is a good price buy it. No regrets with mine.

Make sure you check the rear of the swingarm over good. The pinch bolts for the chain adjustment and the slop in the carrier. Raise the rear end up, and try moving the axle around. It should feel solid, and not clunky or loose. Look over the rear caliper at this time too, some guys let the brake pads wear so far , the caliper gets wrecked.
Check the front tie rod ends for slop too.
If it doesnt shoot the blues on startup, its probably got a lot of life left in it.

it will never brake!!!! they are bulit proof. best starting sport quad out there with a man clutch. 250ex with auto clutch is best start sport quad. bought mine used in 00, never had a prob besides the usuall rear bearings and brakes. rears brakes seem like they wear quick. good luck

i have a 97 300ex the only problem is the back brakes dont work didnt bleed them right.i also broke the bearing carrier when jumping it rode it like that for 2 hours. soon its going to get a engine for a sportsbike between the frame. the vaules rockers and cam bend when they idle for to long because its a aircooled engine but that only happens to they were used on a farm. i got my quad with a few mods for only $1000 i think thats a good price.
