ok, i got a 2006 450er, ive been looking at exhaust tips for it. I dont have the money for a expensive slip on, im buying riding gear with my money. It looks pretty nice but if I were looking for power gains I would just save up and get an hrc kit or atleast try and find the endcap and reject the 450r

 

another thing make sure u keep a log on the 450r with tanks of gas and how long you ride it...and keep up with maintanance and be careful when it comes to oil changes. Also don't get a K&N filter it'll ruin your engine because of the titanuim valves...If you have any ?'s feel free to ask.

 

so you mean every time i ride write down how long i rode and how much gas i used? Yeah the hrc kit would be nice but my dad is weird....he dont want it modded he thinks it wont run good or something.....i have 280 bucks and i could buy a pipe but he wont let me. The end cap that goes on the stock pipe wont add power. It makes it louder and adds power but you wont feal it. To gain power you remove the sparky and punch a 1-2 inch hole in the baffle.

 

the hrc kit has a end cap and just save another 100 bucks and your their dude.....


i have ran a k&n air filter on mine with no problem at all.......

 

yeah i want the extra power bacause i want to start racing. My freind has a trailer and he can take me to the woods races and all that..... i want the sound and pwer. Ive noticed that it sometimes falls on its face, i know a jet kit would fix all that most likely? but yet again my dad says no because he belives it will never tun the same[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]

 

It won't run correctly only if it is installed incorrectly...Ooo well, but another thing that is even more important than power is your suspension but if you are only messing around I wouldn't go all out since the stocks shocks are pretty good...If you wind up getting serious with it get the suspension upgraded and add some more power to her

 

ya i dont know if i will get serious, but i wanna try it atleast. i really want a throaty sound, the stock pipe does not sound good in my opinion, so i will prolly get the tip.
