Urban oil drain legend is TRUE!
#1
Took my new Ruby to get ten hour service. Drove it into trailer and looked back to see murky oil trail and oil plug sitting on the ground, and trailer floor covered in sea of recent oil change. Yes I had heard of these things, but considered them to be legends not grounded in reality. Very lucky to not have new red ruined motor and tranny. I guess one time when a belt might be safer. I would yell at Honda Mechanics but they sell every brand there................

The service department of the dealership forgot to put in the oil drain plug when re-filling your Rubicon?
This accident may be partly because of an unusual situation; I understand the Rubicon has more than one drain plug, right? Someone could have restored one drain plug and overlooked another, partly because of intuitive practice; replace the (single) drain plug and fill 'er up (on other machines beside the Rubicon).
No excuse; you've a right to expect competent service; just a suggestion of one of the causative factors of the accident.

I am never going to a dealership EVER again! Reason#1 when i crashed my 300 (which i have full coverage insurace on) i took it to the dealership. The quoted i had $1500 worth of damage done to it. The ins. guy went there and talked to the mechanic and come to find out half of the damage done to my quad was i a wreck i had done while sleepwalking i guess. They said it wasnt recent! Reason #2 I have a cam, piston, valve springs, cdi box ordered so i started to call for prices of installing these. called 3 local shops and got quotes from $100-$250....called honda shop.......$635!!!!!!!! the only thing they are good for is buying new bikes!
