rubicon vs rincon hill climbing??
#11
Great choice!! I went from a 450 Foreman to an 06 Rincon and what sold me on the Rincon was watching my buddy climb some nasty steep cinder hills on his 05 rincon. I would'nt even try to climb these hills on my Foreman but the Rincon did them with ease. I'm so impressed with my Rincon that I sold my sport quad.

There have been a couple hills that my 500 Foreman really struggled on (steep, loose deep dust) that my friend's Rincon went right up.
Some of them are in the range where my quad will bog down in 2nd, but won't carry enough speed in 1st and will just dig a hole.
Going down hill I prefer my machine. It will tractor down anything at 1 or 2 mph in 1st w/o brakes, where the Rincon would hold about 7-8, so if the terrain requires going slower you need to use the brakes.
I hope to pick up a Rincon as a 2nd quad soon myself.
chenoweth122, I see you are from Redmond. Do you get out to the Millican and East Fort Rock riding areas much?
What kind of price quotes have you been getting?

yes, i get to both those places a lot. millican playground was fun for my dirtbike. mostly east fort rock trails. those are some of the best trails i have ever ridden. the black diamond trails are very techinical in some areas.
price wise i can get the camo rincon for $7895, and the red one for about 7499. i am trying to sell my street bike first. so there is not much that the rincon cannot climb according to your freind huh? that makes me feel pretty good.

Yeah, that's a neat riding area. There's a hill of loose volcanic rock in a play area there, and my friend with the Rincon went there with another buddy who rides a Eiger. The Rincon made the hill no problem, but the Eiger didn't. When I went riding there, I started with my Foreman rapped out in 2nd gear and just held it wide open. It got to the soft spot and dug in/bogged down so quickly it stalled the motor. I made a couple more runs, trying the whole run in 1st, and trying the run shifting, and still didn't make it. Actually, my buddy's Rincon didn't make it that trip, either, but I had torn things up pretty good and he was running worn out tires, and he still made it farther than I did.
I also like the Tillamook burn riding area. It has some gnarly, ultra technical insane steep trails.
Anyhow, for an 07 camo $7512 is about the best number I've been given...
