Default how to keep your quad from getting stolen

Thanks for the advice all...but Easter said that if i take all 4 tires of my quad
its still just as easy. I dont agree beacuse 1. I have big sheet over it so you
cant tell what it is. 2 I dont advertise it, that people that live in the sub are
mostly old so they already forgot that they seen it last week when I loaded
it up. and 3. If all the tires are off how the hell are they gunna get it in the
back of a truck or on a trailor. Even if they put something under it to roll it
they wont be able to get it on a truck or trailor very easy and I hope they
wouldnt bother.. I mean it is only 360 Dry weight and 2 peole can lift it but
I dont really have nething to chain it to plus I dont wanna do that cuz its to
easy to cut thru chain and Cable.

It slows a thief down to cut through chain or cable, someone might notice the noise caused when doing it,
3 people can easily lift a 450r into the bed of a truck or trailer, who needs wheels.
Today saw a truck with a yfz 450 and a ttr 50 in the bed, no straps whatsoever, someone could easily have backed up to it in the Walmart parking lot and have quad and dirt bike in less than 3 minutes and be pulling out of parking lot.

Sad state of affairs that we have here. people make it too easy to steal a quad, mine usually sits with the keys in it in the garage, If I didnt want someone to steal my quad, i would have an anchor set in concrete drive the quad on it and use the shortest lench of cable to attach it with possible. Then i would have a dummy chain set up to look like that is all I have securing it attached to something like a tree or a car/trailer or whatever

As said before though all that does is deter a lazy thief or keep honest people honest. A really determined thief, if you have a rotweiller will kill it, break down a fence and shoot you if he really wants to. So no matter what in this world nothing is ever completely safe.

Like what was mentioned you are best insuring it...I use kryptonite cables and such and my quads are locked up together along with a rearend in my shed and if you want to try and just move my ds650 alone by itself then have fun...What you can also do is take a lock and lock it in your rear brake rotor so no one can roll it and just lock it up so you feel a little safer...You should be fine and just put lights that are on sensors or an alarm.

How bout a loud @ss siren that can be motion activated? Back that up with your choice of gun to fire off a warning shot and you have a bulletproof system.......my 2 cents

I think the insurance idea sounds pretty solid. I know I could take a portable torch and cut any thing you chain w/ or to. P.S. Iam not a prfessional theif , and I figgered that out , what happens when a theif puts his mind to it.
