well what are your plans for it, what kinda riding are you going to be doing, what kinda and size tires?

I would get a pipe that is the quiest you can get and has a spark arrestor. I like foam air filters myself. I have rode a 300ex that was basicly stock execpt for a flat slide carb.

The 07' lineup dirtwheels put the HP @ 28 (sounded a little high to me too)

We have about 60 acres to ride on that the family owns so I'm not worried about noise....There is also have an outdoor track in town so people are use to the noise around here. I just want to add a pipe....how bout an fmf?

that 28hp for a 300ex is waaay off.....400ex is like 26hp.....300ex is probably like 17hp

ya i'd get a fmf is a good pipe

i'd say you'll get around a 3hp gain with a slipon and air filter

You would gain a few HP. I would recommend either HMF or Yoshimura exhausts. I had an HMF with a powerbomb header on my raptor 350, and I noticed some pretty nice gains. Plus it sounds awesome. Youll like 300ex's powerband a lot more after you get those mods

So if the 300ex has 17hp stock then a 3-4 hp gain would be a 20% power increase right(not too shabby)

If you want more power use a 400ex carb. You can get them for like $40

when did you pick up the honda? Don't remember ever seeing you post about the 300 before.
I kinda want to pick up a old/cheap sport to mess around with out back.

Hope its as good to you as the kodiak is.
