Pulled the float bowl off and ran a rag over the bottom of carb and top of float. Noticed a round rubber part in a hole about 1/4" diameter that fell who knows where ....... If I remember right a needle went thru the center of it?
Since I only saw it after it was in flight, I can only guess what it might have looked like.
Here
Might be the rubber thing in the top right in this picture?
The bike runs without it, but what might I suffer without this unknown part?
How hard would it be to upgrade to a 400ex carb(anybody done that?)

You can check ronniesmailorder.com at the microfiche for your carb. It has a schematic that you can see where it went and what it was. If all else fails, just purchase the part from them or buy the carb rebuild kit. I don't know what it is or how it affects things though, sorry!

How is the kodiak doing these days squeege?...I have a microfiche right here and I believe it is number 24 in the diagram which would be a jet holder...Let me know if that is it and I would just order a new one...They tend to fall out and are plastic, but make sure when you get the new one that you line it up with the grooves...Also you will want to make sure you didn't mess up any of the setting of the bowl, but if it seems to run fine then you shoukdn't have to worry about the settings.
