rancher 2wd tire help
I will need some tires soon for my 2006 Rancher 2wd because the blacktop is eating mine up fast on the front and the rears aren't looking the best either. Can anyone recommend some tires that will fit it and will stand up to blacktop use since I ride my daughter around in the subdivision daily, also I ride in my yard daily and don?t want anything real aggressive that will tear up the yard.
Here are my tire sizes and I am having problems finding anything other than stock that will even fit my four-wheeler.
Front - 24 x 8 ? 12
Rear ? 25 x 11 ? 10

Since you will probably buy 4 tires, I'd consider changing rims too. I'd put the same size rim on all four wheels. That way you can rotate the tires so they wear evenly, and would widen your tire choices. You can buy steel wheels from Delta or ITP cheap. If you don't care about how it looks, you could just buy two now and two later.
For a size to pick, I'd pick 12", and put (4) 24x8x12 inch tires on the ATV. The 8" wide tire will be easier to steer than the 11" tire will. That's why it's in front. And since you ride around the neighborhood rather than trails or mud, I'd don't think you need an 11" tire.
For both tires and wheels, check www.atvtires.com. They are offering free shipping though April 30 on all purchases. Call and tell them the type of ATV you have so they can sell you the wheels that fit you bike. One size doesn't fit all. Good Luck

I think will go with the CARLISLE AT 489 ATV Tires since I don't need anything aggresive that will tear up my yard and I have heard they hold up well on blacktop.
BTW why did my goodyear trackers wear so fast on blacktop where my old bridgestone stock tires on my old suzuki held up great, are goodyears just soft or what?
