Ive owned a 400ex for about 2 years. I want to go to sell it but I never received a title for it. Is it possible to get a new title made??? How can I tell if it was stolen? thanks .. any help would be greatly appreciated.

This will vary from state to state! I like that here in Calif. you get a pink slip, registration, and a license sticker with a new quad, so that helps you avoid this kind of stuff....

Here is Washington you would apply for a lost title from a licensing agency. Same place you get your car tags.
You fill it out with the VIN number and make and model and return it and have to wait a specified amount of time (about 3 months) and if nothing comes up about it being stolen, you are issued a new title.
Check with your states Department of Licensing

What was the reason you never received a title for it? Did you get a bill of sale?
Did you wonder if it was stolen when you were purchasing it?
I would NEVER buy any quad, or vehicle for that matter, without getting the title for it.

most used off road vehicles in new jersey do not come with paperwork, simply because the MSO that they come with is pretty much useless in this state. Even dealers buy and sell used machines without titles.
What everyone is telling you about reporting it is correct, if it comes up as stolen, and you forfeit it voluntarily, you won't get hit with stealing it, as long as your story holds up.
However, you do need to know that the second you ask someone to run the VIN, if that bike is hot it will automatically notify the police department that had originally taken the stolen vehicle report and there will be someone at your door to collect teh stolen property. Your best bet is to keep it in it's original condition without anything that you bought for it since you originally bought it, and do a check. Otherwise all your aftermarkey goodies would be taken away with the bike.
