for Christmas my wife got me a set of GBC dune tracker fronts on .160 douglas offset wheels. Im going to buy some works shocks in a couple of weeks, and I'll have them set them up for the offsets.
my questions are, how much stiffer is it going to be when I put my stock rims back on for the trails?
are the works quick to adjust to such a change?
and, is my bike going to hold up to the stress of the offset rims?
I'm only going to use the offsets in the dunes.
thanks for any help!

unless you smash into a rock or something with just one wheel it will hold up. I run my stock wheels turned around and have never had any problems and thats a serious offset. just keep a eye on the tierod bolts

I run a 2" in and 3" out offset .190 Douglas's and Works shocks on my X.

They dont ask what wheels you are running at Works, just what a-arms you are running. I am running a 250R a-arm and I had to take some measurement to get the right shock from Works. Call Works and talk to Sunny or Sandy(wasn't sure which guy) He will tell you exactly what he needs from you! He will ask you what the shock will be used for also(What style of riding you do) and then build the shock accordingly.

I RUN 2\3 OFFSETS ON MY 300EX WITH WORKS SHOCKS AND I RIDE AGGRESSIVE ON TRACK AND TRAIL. THE ONLY PROBLEM YOU MAY HAVE IS THE 160 WHEELS. THEY ARE NOT AS STONG AS STOCK OR 190`S. AS FOR THE SHOCKS....BEST FOR THE MONEY!!!!

Do you .160 front rims bend easy??? I have Douglas .190 fronts and they bend all the time!! Almost everytime I come back from riding I have to pound them back!

Next rims are either going to be reinforced, Beadlocks or the billet wheels!!
