ok just want to get everyones opinon on this topic I have a Honda 06 400 ex and I have money to mod it, I narrowed the exhaust down to 2 choices and they are as follows. The first being the HMF sport series full system and the second being the Big Gun System. Want to know everyones opinion which is better, louder, and will give the best performance. Thanks

 

If I had to pick from those 2 it would be the Big Gun. 1st reason is everyone has a HMF. 2nd the big Gun sounds awesome. One of the best sounds I heard. But I looked at all of them and got a Whitebrothers E2 exhaust and it's whicked! Comes with two end caps. One for parks and the other for competion. Check them out on there web site. You cant go wrong with a whitebrother.

 

I took a WB E2 off my 400 and threw it in the trash. I had it welded atleast 3 times before the guts came apart. I now have a HMF system on it. I like the power and the sound. The fit is good also.

I put a Big gun on my wifes 400 at the same time. I like the sound of it better. I can't compare the power of it, but she says it seems faster than when the E series was on that quad.

I think I would buy on price with the BG and the HMF, which ever is cheaper.

 

Pull out your spark arrestor get the biggest piece of pipe you can fit in the hole and pound a bigger hole in your baffle, put your spark arrestor back in. Remove air box lid. Now take the money you have for the pipe and get someone to port your head and add an 11:1 JE piston, add on a web cam and some valves and hold on. Probably could have it all done for under 900 bucks.

Honda pretty much had this pipe spot on from the factory. Any aftermarket pipe for a 400ex will only net from 2-5 hp. And most of that comes from removing your airbox lid and rejetting.

 

I love the HMF sport series. it is by far the loudest that ive heard. but the big gun is a nice pipe to. you cant go wrong with either one
