hey guys, is this a good deal , my brother brought a 05 yamaha blaster for 1600 and it runs great no marks, runs perfect, the same guy is selling a yellow 2005 honda 300ex for 1600 is this a good deal.

i am just wondering since i am new with atv, how fast can the 300ex go tops in 5th gear and can it take crap like going off a few jumps( not to big but maby 4feet the least.

if some one has one can they tell me the pros and the cons

 

The purchase price new for an EX is considerably higher than a Blaster, so by comparison that is a very good price. The 05 is the old style EX however, and lots of folks hate the reverse mechanism.

I would look it over closely, and at least check the compression before you buy it. Most owners neglect oil changes and valve adjustments, so it is always buyer beware on any used machine! The EX is a solid little machine, and they will run forever with just basic maintenance.

It excells as a tight trail quad! It has descent power (with some hop up potential) and descent suspension. I have busted out huge air on this little machine. I relly like the way it flies! Now that my kids are older, I wish I had hung on to mine......

 

how do i check the compression, this is gonna be my first atv and he is gonna let me look at it before i buy it, give me tips on what i should look at

do you know what you have to do to get into reverse...ill probably get the hand of it in a day or 2
