Ok guys, I rode yesterday with paddle tires and let me tell you,.....I was the leader of the pack...nobody could go like I did. so if you have any sand tires around try them...I COULD DO WHEELIES. never thought you could ride a controled wheelie in the snow..

How much snow were you riding in? and how much do you weigh? I am 240 lbs and my 300ex made it through the snow like there wasnt a tommorrow.
Mine is bone stock.

I am using an old pair of dick cepek 8 paddle tiresthat have the straight paddles. I think the v shape paddles would work better though because they would give alittle more traction around corners. OH, and I was riding in about 5 or 6 in of snow when I unloaded it and anywhere from 6 to 20 inches out on the track and on the drift covered trails. And Im 5'7" and 150 lbs. I think if you see the difference between the tires you will like not having to struggle.

My 400EX has a set of lawn mower chains on it. I can go up hills the 4 wheel drives won't even atempt. It will pull wheelies in 6 inches of snow on the trail easily!
