Got home from vacation and two recall notices for our 2001 Rancher had arrived, one for the upper "A" arm bracket welds and the other for a new gearshift plate. If anyone knows whats involved with these repairs could you please let me know, needless to say I'm a little nervous about having the dealer rip into our new Quad especially when it has worked flawlessly for the last 5 months.

It would be better to let them "rip" into it now, even if it's showing no effects of the parts listed. It could save you even more troubles down the road.

fear not, both repairs take about 1 hour for both to complete. one consists of simply bolting three brackets underneath the front end using existing bolt holes. the other is a female n male plate checking and possibly replacing in the shift linkedge.
