On the High Lifter they talk of using a tractor muffler on the ATV's . Would this really work and make it sound decent ?

tractor muffler eh??

would be very cheap, and would have amazing airflow.....but it would be heavy, and it wouldnt quiet it down at all.

You'ld be better off just taking off your silencer than getting a tractor muffler, aka, a 4 foot long steel tube

What they are talking about when mentioning a tractor muffler is that it mounts vertically straight up and down like a tractor and has the one way "flap" on the top to let exhaust out, but to slow the waterflow down in the exhaust when you submerge it.

AC3 or FO14 do work, you can use a motorcycle baffle for noise and back pressure, or re jet.
Can make sense on and old carb bike, when it is not worth 350$ for a muffler.

The bike is worth the price , just don't want to spend that much for a muffler . Call me cheap , but what makes a tin can worth $350 ? I heard one with the stepdown from the F014 muffler and it sounded pretty good ...
But will I need to rejet with just a muffler change and a snorkel?
