I have a 2002 Foreman 450 that will not start. This is the story. It started fine one day and drove it a few yards and the went to start it up again and it bac fired and now it will not start. I have plenty of spark and plenty of fuel. Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Gas valve turned to off?

 

The gas is on. Like I said I have plenty of fuel going to the carb.

 

Most of the time when someone says they have plenty of gas..they only looked in the gas cap. So you already checked at the carb.
Will it run with the choke on, or at 1/4 throttle? You might have a plugged idle jet.

 

Fouled spark plug ?

It will not run at all it just sits there and turns over. I will be replacing the spark plug today and also rebuilding the carb.

My 2002 Polaris ran for a little while and then shut off. I rebuilt that carb yesterday and every thing seems fine on it now. So I will try that for the Honda.

 

And the winner is a fouled spark plug.................
