well first things first honda will not drop the 400ex any time soon secondly they wioll not come out with s 500cc quad because they already tested one and they didnt like it . also they cannot come out with an atc because it was outlawed to produce anymore atc's back in the 80's becaue too many people were dieing

and personally i think that if hoinda makes a new quad above 450cc that trhey are aiming strickly on desert racing and drag racing cause here in newengland thwat kind of power in the raptor and ds is totally too much plus raptors woods durability sucks

Dirtwheels suggests that Honda will make a bigger cc quad in the next few years If you read Dirtwheels they suggest it everytime they have a high performance shootout.

first, to hyper440ex, the xr650 engine is fairly lightweight for a bigbore (raptor engine is 103lbs xr650 is 88lbs) but it will never rev like a properly done 4 stroke. i bought the newest dirt bike mag because i was curious on the preformance and the guy who races it says the power is like the yz426f but more controlable. i agree that they wont drop the 400ex, its still going to be one of the best play bikes of all time!!

Ok for a 500r i don't think you'll ever see it. maybe a 500ex but it will have to be 4 stroke and maybe even EFI. Street bike have to be all equiped with EFI by 2005 for emission and you will see quad , dirt bike, snowmoblies, PWC to follow. Honda has already jumped onto the band wagon with the first 4 stroke PWC. Cannadale has a efi dirt bike a quad. No more 2 stroke unless they are reburners and that will cost way toooooooooooo much coin for most people to buy and up keep. So everyone better get used to 4 strokes. Trust me Living here in ontario canada we just got pushed that our cars, trucks and such have to be tested every 3 years for emmisions, If they pull you over and you have one thing missing off the polution it is a 475 dollar fine on the spot no wornings. So sorry to say 2 strokes are on the way out

There is my 10 cents
