lilgirlblue, Monica is right. The Hondas do soar like a bird and that was one of the first exhilarating things I experienced when I got my 400 3 months ago vs. the Warrior I had been riding for 2 yrs. It felt like I was floating when I launched off jumps. I have always loved jumping (once I learned) but my 400EX has taken it to a new dimension. Start small. That is one thing that has helped me progress so quickly in my riding. I conquered fear after fear by starting small and once I saw what I could do I tried bigger stuff. It is the greatest feeling in the world.

Scramdaddy I think from the reaction I get from guys they are shocked and yet impressed by a competent female rider and at the same time it does freak them out to see one wreck. One of my buddies got a front seat view of me flipping down a hill so steep I did a free fall. He still has flashbacks if I mention it LOL! My only concern was my quad after seeing it flip a few more times below me. I could not have had a more potentially serious wreck with less injuries if it had been planned out by the stunt team for a James Bond movie. It must have been a horrible sight. Wish we had it on video so years down the road I could show my grandkids what I used to do for fun! Angelon400ex

i dont so much iv been rideing other peoples quads and atc's since i was 11 i was 14 befor i got my owen im almost 21 now im 5"10 172lb i can kick my r around ok i have a restored black 83 chevy 3/4 ton 4wd with a 400 big gas hog but its not under powered hehe i love my 250 its a really easy quad to get use to it toke me less time to get use to than any of my 6 passed quads and atc's
they handle better than any quad on earth mine was an x racer it puts out close to 50 hp but remember as a beginer you don t know much i wouldn t even do little hills that i won t even slow down for today but were all like that to startout with mainly because we don t know the limt's of the quad were the balnce point of it is kinda like learning to walk i had to basicly teach myself to ride other than a very few useful pointer's from frineds of mine i don t see why a 400ex would be a problem any atv will get away from you from time to time just ride as fast as u can handle never let other's make that choice for u thats how bones are brokein for beginer's i learned to ride mostly by being alone just puting around trying things baby steps i guess thats what im saying take em

Angela-If you are anything like me, you will be outriding your grandkids! I plan on buying my little grandson his first quad as soon as he can crawl! By the time he is four he will be able to ride my 300ex that I am going to save for him! LOL!

iv toke some good dives in the passed to it was scary but mostly because i had a 6000 dallor 400 forman that was only weeks old didn t want messed up there were these big dirt piles at a frineds place id climb alot well one day when i was starting down the other side the bottom of the hill was duog out with a dozer or something i locked up the brakes and when i got stop i was sideways in the middle of this fairly steep hill right at the balnce point of my quad so i slowly and ever so gentely got off on the up side ofcourse makeing my way to the down side while blanceing the quad with my hands when i made it down i worked it down the hill streeing and useing its owen power yea that would have made some nice video footage the only good thing that happen is i slide so that my shifter was faceing the bottom side if it had not been that way i think i might have had to let her go or think of something else anyway just another day in the life of an atver go big or go home

Riding has been a great stress reliever. sometimes my job can be stressful, not that often! and i hate sitting around watching tv! see ya! nice to see u all here!

Angela you sound like a wild woman, you and my girlfriend should get together she's almost as wild as you are. I had to take her to the hospital so she could have her back checked out when her LT250R rolled on top of her after trying to make it up a ruffed up hill climb.
I tell ya you girls and your atv's are going to give me a nervous break down.LOL.
