JeffinTD the only thing i would disagree with you on the added gound clearance increase , going with the bigger tire's would change your gearing ratio and you would lose some low end mid range and top end speed as well as some of that added snap with the EFI on the rancher ! ,,,,,,,,,,,,

a 250r? thats the best sport quad of all-time.(its the best 2-stroke ever made as far as all around performance.) i was 14, or 15 when i had one , im 28 now.</end quote></div>

well you have awesome parents then who let you get a quad like that.... even though i can afford to get a new one, im not allowed to do so because they think i'll kill myself on a bigger quad (even though it has MUCH better suspension and would therefore be safer)

that aint bad, i dont know how the rancher won, but it did??????????? good answer? it won cause its the best!!!!!!!!!!!! i tired of hearing all the bs, i would take any 450, and below on the trail with a rancher 420 and spank it!!!! thats my word!!! the rest is just hatin on honda for it being a honda!!!</end quote></div>

Sorry mykool61679, but no way. I have two hondas and love them but my old Kodiak 450 would beat them on the trails. With the quicker acceleration and tighter turning radius, it was much quicker on the trails.

i give!!! everyone is entitled to there own opinion. like i said b/f, i would love any quad that i can call my own. ive just been lucky that ive rode hondas my whole life, and they have treated me very well. but any running quad is better than none at all.

If you ever seen a Rancher you would know its low ground clearance is from It,s low slung out in the open Drum brake housing and even with 25" tires it would only gain a half inch in hight. I would hope 25" tire can not rob a 420cc of it,s power. Even the 476cc Eiger is cabable of over 50 mph with It,s 25" tires.

Would it beat the 450 utility like the KQ and Grizzly? If the much more exspensive and powerful 500 Rubicon and 500 Forman don,t spank them then how would the Rancher?

In real world prices up here in Canada a 420 Rancher is going for $7,700 and a 350 Grizzly sells for $6000 I would think a 400 Grizzly would be more in the same price range ,up here anyways.

the 420 is only around 5000$$ down here in the states. thats a crazy mark up!!!! and my 350/400 rancher will do 50 mphs with 26 inch mud tires now. and a rancher will crush the foreman in every aspect except pulling. dont know about a rubi though, ive never threw my leg over one. and the only thing im talking about is on wooded trails, thats it.

ya we get scr3w3d up here in canada, a regular DS450 is 10200, you can get it for 7500. We pay 36% more because we are canadian. However your dollar is worth a bit more so lets say that $1 USD is $1.20 CAD. (its probably more like $1.10-$115 but this is easier, and clearly shows we are being ripped off)

In reality we SHOULD be paying 9000 for the ds450, however we are being ripped off $1200 (which might be around $1000USD) How would you feel if you got ripped off that much?

Suzuki is even worse, a z250 up here is 6400, a z250 for you is 3900 if im not mistaken.

CAD:USD for Can-Am DD450 price 1.36

CAD:USD for Suzuki LT-Z250 price 1.641

Isnt suzuki being a [insert censored word]???
its not fair. I bet its MUCH cheaper to buy a z250 in the USA and to ship it across the border.
