WARN 424 instilation question "HELP"
#1
Please only answer if you have installed one. I just took everythign off the bike and it looks like the short shaft you remove is a LOT smaller than the WARN ends and it definately is a lot longer. The instrucitons they sent are generic and my bike does not look exactly like the pictures. Does the WARN go inside the front differential or connect externally?

Easy there partner, You have to unbolt the front differential and move it forward to remove and install the new 424 select. Yes it wil look longer while it is out, but the differential end does slide into the front differential. You dont have to remove the axles or anything like that, however it is easier if you remove the front wheel.
Here are the steps.
Remove front wheels
Unbolt front differential
slide diff forward to disengage prop shaft
Insert 424 shaft
slide diff back into place, at the same time fitting the rubber boot on the diff end of prop shaft.
bolt up front diff.
install the small rubber strap that came with 424 unit.
route cable to desired location
Install wheels
Enjoy.
