Anyone mount a come along winch on a 400ex? How and where should it be mounted?

 

Don't think I'd "mount" a comealong anywhere. Just pack or strap the comealong somewhere and carry it with you, hooking it up when necessary. Carry a tow strap/clevis shackle/choker chain or something to connect to your quad and enough auxiliary rope or cable to reach an anchor point and you have all you need.

Features of a comealong include its portability and its versatility; mounting unnecessary.
