03' Honda 250ex Reverse adjustment ?
#1
How do you adjust the reverse on this atv ? It will go into reverse fine but is hard to get back out of gear without shutting the engine off .
Another thing , how do you adjust the main clutch ? When in gear , this atv wants to move forward even at idle . Does this mean the clutch is about worn out ? The idle speed seems low enough it shouldn't be engaging.
Thanks,
D.

Clutch adjustment procedure is in the owner's manual.
Learn to shift as the quad is just coming to a stop, while it is still slowly moving. Or if you forget, rock it back and forth while shifting.

Unfortunately , I don't have an owner's manual . Do you happen to have a scanner and could scan me the page ?
How about the main clutch issue, do you have any info. on this ?
Thanks,
D.

I tried adjusting the clutch by loosening the locknut, screwing it in CW 1 full turn, then backing (CCW)it out until I felt resistance. Then I screwed it back in (CW) 1/4 of a turn. It is still wanting to move without touching the throttle. I also tried screwing it out (CCW) really far until it didn't want to creep forward, then When I gave it throttle, it would not move, just slip . It is like I either have it creeping forward when idleing and running fine otherwise or I have it not creeping forward but not moving at all.
Is it time for a clutch rebuild ?
Thanks,
D.
