i know all about front lowering kits but i noticed the dont make a rear lowering kit for the 400ex..but anyways, im going to be racing MX and TT so ill be going up and down with suspension...anyone seen, used, or heard about these adjustable struts in the rear? how far will the lower the quad, can i leave it on even when riding mx, how does it work, etc etc...any help would be appreciated......i hope its as simple as it sounds to just crank up and down to what track youre at, that would be sweet....anyways thanks!

Durablue does make a rear lowering strut for the 400. I have one. It lowers the quad a couple of inches. The only problem I have with mine is when I mx with it in the lowered position. With my weight (200lbs., the front of the quad lowered, radials on the front, and 18" tires on the rear,), I bottom out on the jumps consistently. If you don't mind taking the 15 minutes or so to adjust the strut for each different event, then you'll be happy with it.

I have one I race TT and Flat track with. I dont readjust mine when I ride woods though, I put my stock one on. Just be carefull and not extend the strut too far because it can pull out of the treads. My friends did that last race. He just adjusted it too far. Not a problem with the strut.

I put mine on last night and i love it so far. If you leave the rear skid plate off, then it is easy to adjust up and down. One side has left hand threads and the other side has right hand threads. You can either pull them both together or both apart. Apart=lowered Together=higher
All the way together will equal the size of the stock strut. The only problem getting mine on last was you have take the bearings and everything out of your stock strut.
