I have a 2003 rancher, is there any way I can rig it so it will start in gear? thanks!

 

ON my 420 rancher, all you have to do is squeeze the hand brake and it will start. You might try that.

 

Try searching Rancher, start, neutral, etc. This topic has been posted many times before.

On my Rubicon, it will only start in gear if you apply the front brake, not the rear. If you want it to start without squeezing the brake, just connect the 2 switch wires on the brake. Make sure you get the right switch and not the brake light switch.

My cousins Rancher at is the same way. When he first got it it would only start in reverse, but afterhe broke it in it would start in drive.
