CHAIN TROUBLE AT MX!

When I go to the track to practice, my chain slowly gets loose.When I give it gas it jerks and won't work proporly,it has a new chain and good sprockets.Feels like the petcock screws are getting loose but they don't.Carrier does not move so I am clueless.Please help!Also what are the most important things I can do for my 250X to get ready for MX(stock but for nerfs).Thanks

my 250X did samething and finally flew of and cracked my case cover. You said your carrier is not moveing but that is usually the culprt. mark on the swingarm and on the chain adjuster then ride real hard about three laps and check. if thasts not it check for worn swingarm bearings

i would say it has to be the carrier, to be sure set up your chain and then take a yellow crayon and make a mark on the carrier and then right next to that mark make another on the swingarm.go ride and then check to see if the makes are not in line

CHeck the carrier like the above said and also check to see if you engine mounts are tight and your swingarm mounts....

As for mods:

Wider a-arms/axle
tires
engine mods(bore, stroke, cam, headwork)
pipe
Handlebars(makes it a little more comfortable)
Shocks front and rear
