i am trying to decide between a 400 ex and a banshee. i live in the woods with alot of screwed up trails, but i look to race in this upcoming year and i don't know which quad to get.
for the people that have a 400ex or a banshee give me some advice please..

I'm not being bias, but the 400EX is the quad you are looking for. The Banshee is a great machine. Don't get me wrong. It's probably the best duner you can get. As far as trails go, the 400EX will be much easier to ride and better suited for this type of riding. Also, it's a good machine for all types of racing. Good luck.

i am in the market for the same.
i am going to be woods riding mostly and have been told the 400ex is the choice. the reason is lowend on the banshee is tough it wants to be ridding fast. 400ex sounds quick to and the low end is better for woods riding. but i have a feeling my wallet will be pointing to a banshee for around $3000.00 used. if i could get into a 40ex for that price it would be great. now i just need to figure out how to ride the banshee in tight spots hehehe.. its never easy

I would go with the 400ex. ex is better for trails, if that's what your riding. I had a banshee with toomey race mods(piped and ported), awesome power, couldn't be beaten, when it ran.
