I was wondering if you folks could help me. I am looking for a complete and easy to understand, valve adjustment procedure for the Foreman 450 to post on my website for others to reference. The complete procedure should also include what body parts would have to be removed, achieving top dead center so both valves are free and the actual valve clearance. I remember seeing a post with an excellent in depth procedure here some time ago, but it wouldn't come up in the search. Thanks in advance.

Never really thought about writing it down. Next time I do mine I will, and try to get some good pics too!

BigRed, I just adjusted the valves on my Rancher. I went to the Honda dealer and bought the service manual for $35 before I tried it and I'm glad I did. Adjusting the valves was VERY easy after getting all the crap in the way off of the bike. I had to take quite a few body panels off, the fuel tank and the heat shield before I could get to the valve cover to access the valves. My recommendation would be to buy the shop manual and it will go in depth into the proper procedure. I can say that it would have been a "bXXch" to adjust my valves without the manual.
