I am wondering what airbox holes will do for my 250x with a K&N filter. There are 2 holes drilled in the top of the box with tape over them. What will happen when I take off the tape. Also where is the best place to drill more, does it give more power?I ride on a dusty MX course and will holes require more frequent baths for my filter? One more question,my shocks are very plush and olmost completly bottom-out on the jumps, do I neede new ones? Thanks

ABout the holes in the air box it alows more are to get to the motor and if setup right can make more power . If you buy an outerwears for your air filter you can remove the airbox completly and the outerwears will protect from dust and water if you do that then buy a k+n jet kit for about $50 you will get some serious power gains an more top end speed .

The holes & K&N filter in your airbox will definitly increase performance. I have 3 2" holes in the top of mine. As far as the shocks I threw my old ones away (blown anyways) and bought some good used R shocks and welded a new top bracket w/'88 R a-arms (86-87 won't work) and haven't bottomed out yet on some serious jumps.

Any a-arms from a 250R will work on an X. I have the a-arms with the larger bushings and a friend of mine has the one with the smaller(250X style) bushings.
Both work great!
