hi, i just purchased a minty 2002 400ex , and it has a big gun full exshaust, its nice but way to loud for this 45 yr old, im putting the stock exshaust on and was wondering what is the stock jet and needle setting. the gentleman i bought it from could not remember .

 

Welcome to the forum tinman8. If i were you I'd sell that exhaust on ebay and try and find some exhaust like the White bros. E series. Its quiet just like the stock and you will retain that hp bump. If you put the stock back on and jet it down you will lose ALOT of power.

 

i going to but the stock pipe back on , and ordered the stock jet. im going to ride it with the jetting now from the big gun pipe, untill the parts come in. it should just run a little richer but it should not hurt anything?

 

Shouldn't hurt. May get hard to start.

 

well went for ride with stock pipe , ran great, i now wonder if he even change the jets as it runs better with the stock pipe just less power. any ideal what i would get for a used complete big gun race series pipe Aprox 10 to 15 hrs on it

 

Used I'd guess around $150-$200 on ebay.
