Hello, I have been pulling my hair out trying to find where the serial # is located on bike. If someone could give me very good specifics on where to locate it I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Thank you very much. I finally found it with your help. Owners manual was useless. Problem (other than manual) is that I have bike up on trailer and I was looking underneath. By getting up on top of trailer and looking down it was plain and obvious.
Thanks again

Honda mechanic,
seems like everyone is seeking your advice so I have a question. I have '07 420FE. The factory tires are 24x?X?. I only ride trails and was thinking of changing the size of the tires to 25x?x?. (No mudding or anything like that. Just trails and work.) Do you think changing the tire size will substantially affect the handling of the atv to the point where it is noticeable?
Thanks for your opinion.

You won't notice any difference jumping from 24 to 25 , unless you go to a wider/heavier tire then it will be harder to turn the handlebars when the bike is sitting still or driving slow... We install a lot of 6 ply tires ,they hold up better around sticks ,sharp stones etc.

Thanks for your reply hondamechanic,
I have maxxis two ply tires and the dealer recommended I jump to 6 ply when the time comes for replacements. It came with 24 x 8-12 on the front and 24 x 10-11 on the rear. I'm familar with car tires but how do you read these numbers. I'm assuming the 24 relates to the height of the tire, but what do the other numbers mean? (I'm thinking wheel size?)
Also, you said switching to a wider/heavier tire would make it harder to turn when going slow, etc. If I purchased the same size tire in a six ply instead of a two ply would it make the handlebars difficult to turn when going slow?
