get a different rear sproket, i might be wrong but i'm pretty sure going up in the rear will give you more top end. the rev box will give you about another 1000 rpms so it will help a little

Without touching the motor/exhaust, you are going to have to gear it back up somehow. How many teeth did the sprocket you took off have? If it was a 14 then go to a 13 tooth or buy a 2-3 tooth smaller rear sprocket. Be forewarned though, if you replaced a 13 tooth, then dropping 3 teeth from the rear is going to put you right back where you started. Good luck.

Hard to imagine you like the smaller sprocket. I put on some ITP Holeshot XCT's (23" front/22" rear) for some increased ground clearance. Figured to make up the difference in tire size I would gear down one tooth in front.....it was way to much! The EX wheelies easily anyway, and even with the big tires I could not keep the front end on the ground any time I stabbed the throtle.......

I would try to split the difference, like has been suggested by going a little smaller on the back sprocket. Or, go back to your oringinal front sprocket, and go a little larger in the rear.....that is what I ended up doing!

I can't go back to my origianal sproket cuz I had to cut the chain lol Say if the stock is: O mine is now:* soo much smaller it had to use a clip to stay on and I have swamp witches on so there a big larger bug not a hole ton.. when I buy holeshots I'll feel how big the diference really is lol.. Thanks for the advice tho!
