I put 12" steel rims on the back with 25" Executioneers all the way around and I lost no power. I never could pull a mean wheely put I could lift the wheels, and I still can. I did notice a larger turning circle but with the stock tires I got stuck if I spit on the ground, but with the executioneers I have been in mud and water over the tires and I have never gotten stuck.... Yet.....

Why go from aluminum rims to steel? Its usually the other way around.

My rancher came stock with steel rims, just stayed with the same thing when I changed tires. The only reason I changed back rims was to go to a easier to find 12" tire size.

12" are the most popular but there are many tires of different sizes for 11" rims as well.

I'll put in a vote for the stock rims with 25" mud bugs wraped round them... I would have never tried them but they came with my used 2wd Rancher. They'll still let the rear end slide around turns on the hard stuff/wet grass, but they're hard to get stuck in the mud. I have a set of stock tires on another rancher and it doesn't handle near as well.. The bugs help it to turn much flatter...
