Rancher 420 Aftermarket Skid Plates ????
Anybody running any yet??? The stock skids will work for the average recreational trail rider, but in the rocks it is way to soft and isn't going to offer enough protection. Anybody found any yet that they like???
Moose lists aluminum ones.
I have actually had very good luck with the Maier plastic skids, but they don't list one for the 420 yet. (Don't laugh, they make guns out of plastic these days!) They are super slick, and tend to slide off of rocks rather than hang up. In the snow, the slick plastic acts like a huge ski, and keeps you floating in the deep stuff. Do wish they had more side rail protection, however.

I have been toying with the idea of Ricochet skid plates. I looked at them again last night. I haven't read anything bad about them yet and I've been looking around for about a month and a half now. I did go out and buy oxlite brush guards for the front A arms. They work really well and are easy to put on. I'll probably wait a little longer and if I don't find anything better I'll buy one.
