crf 250r vs. TRX450r????
Once upon a time I posted a thread in the sport quad area entitled "have you ever asked yourself "why a sport quad?"
It fits this thread perfectly.
If you want to rip to the max to this degree... "why a sport quad?"
The point is, it's either time to stop the tantrum and get a dirtbike or settle for reality.
I myself like to ride both, and which I would rather be on just depends.
Both have unique fun factors about them...... but in all out going nuts wild, a quad won't keep up.
Trying to make it is a waste of money... and furthermore, it's more practical and cheaper to just get a dirtbike.

i ride both quad and bike. if u ask me, its all in the rider, he may beat u in a drag, but there is not much u can do about that. the bike is lighter and faster. i would work on my weak points on the track and try to put it all together. just work on ridin the quad faster and flat out beat the s**t out of it until u can beat ur buddy. till then, ur out of luck. u can poor money into the bike but in the end it all boils down to the rider(im not sayin ur a bad rider, but to keep up with a bike is some hard stuff). i dont think that mods r the key to beating ur friend. it isnt nothing to be ashamed of to lose to a bike, they r hard to beat.

Any dunes close around out there?
