hey guys i have a 400ex with a 426 piston and i want to go from 11:1 to 13:1 compression. do yall think the crank can take the abuse? the bike is a 2004 if it makes a diff. also i want to run the stage 3 hot cam and a aftermarket carb. im looking at the eichner edelbrock or the fcr. but im prob going to get the big eichner. what octane do you think? can the starter take the abuse? anyting can help.

 

for years i ran a 416 12.5:1 je, with a web cam that would compare to a stage 3 hotcam, on a factory crank!! most hondas you can run stock cam, and crank with a high comp piston and spray n2o with no prob!!! but for the long run if you want a nice carb. i would put new crank and bearings!!!!
