Default '03 Rubicon 500 problems

[img]i/expressions/brokenheart.gif[/img] I bought a 2003 Rubicon fully loaded--lifted, 29" Outlaws, 4000Lb winch, part-time 4x4 conversion, pro-exaust pipe, jetted carb, etc... etc.. for
an unreal price of $400.00 <---Yes, $400.00--- Yes I got the paperwork with it...
The kicker was it needed a head gasket- No problem I spent approx $108.00 fixing it and it ran perfect! BUT- The excitement ended when I rode it for a while and realised that when it warmed up the Hondamatic transmission started slipping and binding up under stress.. (going up hills or through mud).. Well I thought it was the little motor/actuator on the left side for the trans but I don't think it is..
I called a local ATV dealer/repair shop and they told me it was the oil pump..
They charge $90hr for repairs plus the cost of the parts- Too expensive...
What do I do? Do you think it's the oil pump or what? One last wrench to throw in the gears-- Now it's smoking slightly and there is black oil on the muffler tip..
I ran a tank of 2-cycle oil and gas mix (chainsaw gas) through it so that may be the problem.. Why you ask? Because thats all I had at the time when I was so excited and impatiently repairing this beast.. Sorry for the long post I just wasnt as many details as possible.. Thanks

Smoke and oil are probably a result of premix.

I think I'd check or have the oil pressure checked before I'd do the oil pump.

Sounds like it does not have enough oil in it. The tranny is cavatating when it sucks air in the oil system.
